Paleo Life Coach is a plain-spoken guide to eating paleo. We publish recipes, meal plans, food lists, diet comparisons and answers to the nutrition questions that come up once grains, legumes and most dairy are off the menu. Our aim is to help you eat well the whole-foods, ancestral way, minus the confusion, the miracle promises and the pricey specialty products.
The Paleo Life Coach Editorial Team writes and maintains every page, and the site is operated by RLB Internet Technology Solutions.
Our goal
A lot of paleo writing online either boils everything down to “eat like a caveman” or piles on health claims that the research can’t back up. We try to do neither. Instead we offer:
- Recipes and plans you can cook from and build a week around.
- Straight answers to “is this paleo?”
- An honest picture of what the evidence says and where it stops.
The paleo approach does a lot right. It puts vegetables, fruit, protein and lightly processed food at the center of the plate. It also leaves gaps you should plan for, calcium and fiber among them. We write about both sides.
Who we cook for
- New starters looking for a clear first step and a simple shopping list.
- Busy home cooks who need fast dinners, lunches to make ahead and freezer plans.
- Households on a budget who’ve been told paleo costs a fortune and want actual figures.
- Diet comparers weighing paleo against keto, Whole30, Mediterranean, DASH, primal or carnivore.
- Readers managing a health condition who want to see the research before they speak with their clinician. Our article on paleo and type 2 diabetes is an example.
The four hubs
- What Is the Paleo Diet? The Complete Guide: the basics, food lists, carbs, nutrient gaps, “is it paleo?” answers and where the diet came from.
- Paleo Recipes: breakfasts, fast weeknight dinners, slow-cooker dishes, dressings and sauces, and a comparison of paleo flours.
- Paleo Meal Plans & Prep: a free seven-day menu, meal-prep plans, lunches for work, freezer meals and budget planning.
- Paleo vs Other Diets: head-to-head comparisons with keto, Whole30, Mediterranean, DASH and primal.
Tools and our cost study
- TDEE & Macro Calculator: put in your sex, age, weight, height, activity level and goal. You get an estimate of daily calories and a macro split for fat loss, maintenance or muscle gain. Use it as a first number and adjust from there.
- Is It Paleo? Food Checker: type in a food and see whether it fits paleo, the reason, and a swap when it doesn’t.
- What Does the Paleo Diet Really Cost? A 2026 Study: published food-spending figures set against the cost of a paleo shopping list.
Our sources
Whenever we state a nutrition fact or a health effect, we link to its origin. The sources we lean on most:
- USDA FoodData Central for nutrient values in recipes, food tables and macros.
- MedlinePlus and the National Institute on Aging for general nutrition and health guidance.
- Nutrition.gov and the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK).
- The American Heart Association and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute on fats, sodium and heart health.
- The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health’s Nutrition Source and the FDA.
- The National Center for Home Food Preservation on storing batch-cooked and preserved food safely.
- Peer-reviewed trials in PubMed when we look at what paleo studies really found.
How recipes and guides are checked
- Facts with a trail. Each factual claim should lead to a credible source. Where we’re giving our own editorial view or describing common practice, we make that clear.
- Numbers from USDA data. Calories, macros and nutrients in our newer recipes, food tables and meal plans are calculated from USDA figures.
- A human read-through. We do use research and drafting software, yet nothing machine-generated is published without editing. Someone on the team compares every guide with the sources it cites before we publish it.
- Nothing made up. You won’t find invented studies, statistics, testimonials or before-and-after stories here. When the science isn’t settled, we say so.
The full policy lives on our Editorial Standards page.
Paying for the site
Paleo Life Coach is free. Third-party advertising and affiliate links keep it running. When you buy through certain links, we may earn a commission, and you pay what you would anyway. Neither influences our recommendations. Read our Affiliate Disclosure and Disclaimer for details.
Keeping things accurate
Nutrition advice changes, and our articles change with it. If you catch a mistake, email [email protected] or use the Contact page and tell us the page and the problem. Once we confirm an error, we fix it quickly and note significant updates.
Before you change your diet
What we publish is general nutrition education. It is not medical or dietary advice. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before a big change in how you eat, especially if you have diabetes, kidney disease or heart disease, have a history of disordered eating, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take a medication that diet can affect.
